65 - Cameron Hits 30 Points Against Baltic 75-53 (1-30-65)





PORT WASHINGTON - A blistering hot 3rd quarter and a 30-point outburst by Leonard Cameron carried Port Washington (5-10) to victory over Baltic (2-11) here Saturday night.  The Purple Riders missed just one shot in the 3rd period to hike their advantage to 51-28 after leading by only 29-23 at the half.  Cameron erupted for 30 points, his season high, to take game laurels, nosing out Eagle Jeff Schlarb who got 27.  Dan Gay followed Cameron with 16 and Rich Fillman contributed 14.  No one else hit double figures for Baltic.  The Purple Riders, under George Thomas, canned 33 of 73 floor flings all told for 46 percent and sank 9 of 16 charities.  Port Washington will visit Stone Creek Friday.  Baltic, under Rich Polczynski, hosts Tuscarawas Friday.  The Port Washington Reserves (3-7) added to the big night by edging the Baltic Reserves (3-7) 40-35.
