65 - Midvale Trashs Scio 72-48 (12-19-64)

MIDVALE - Scio learned here Saturday night what 7 pevious teams have this season...Midvale (8-0) has a mighty fine basketball team.  The powerful Blule Devils, under the guidance of veteran Coach Pete Hilliard, rolled to victory.  Talented Dan Kohler again was the main cog in Midvale's well-oiled machine, meshing 29 points on 13 field goals and 3 charities.  Teammate Terry Leggett gave able assistance with 19 markers.  Gene Rinks and Tom Noah popped in 21 and 12, respectively, for the once-victorious Panthers.  Kohler also was a demon under the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds.  All told, the Blue Devils outrebounded the Panthers 46-32.  Midvale used a full court zone defense most of the way, while Scio employed the zone with no press.  The sharpeyed Blue Devils, who will take a 10-day rest befoe hosting unbeaten Conotton Valley December 29, fired in 26 of 63 action shots for 43 percent and canned 20 of 35 foul tries.  Scio was 17 of 66 for 26 percent and 12 of 17, respectively.  It was reported that Midvale (4-2) won the reserve game, but there were no stats.
