SUGARCREEK - Garaway (2-0) (3-1), suffering the maladies of a cold 1st half, was behind 13-10 and 25-24 at the end of the initial 2 periods.  But, with Dan Andreas leading the way, the Pirates went on top at the outset of the 3rd quarter and never faltered thereafter.  They led 43-34 going into the final chapter.  Andreas came through with one of the top point-producing efforts in the county thus far this season when he fired in 33, including 15 goals.  He also pulled down 13 rebounds to fire the Pirates offensively and defensively.  Pacing the Broncos were Rich Eckhardt and Russ McGlothlin.  Eckhardt was tops with 15 points.  McGlothlin added 10.  Both teams used man-to-man defenses.  Garaway out shot the invaders by 10 goals, hitting 25 of 59 for 42 percent.  The Broncos ended with 33 percent, connecting on 15 of 39 shots.  The Pirates hit 5 of 12 free throws and Tusky 12 of 18.  Garaway entertains Stone Creek tonight in a non-league contest.  The Garaway Reserves (2-1) ran down the Tuscarawas Reserves (0-1) 33-25.
