65 - Conotton Valley Slaps Tuscarawas Valley 56-42 (12-19-64)

LEESVILLE - The rich got richer and the poor got poorer here Saturday night.  Touted Conotton Valley (7-0) won its 7th game without a taste of defeat when it slapped winless Tuscarawas Valley (0-6).  The Rockets of Coach Errol Jacobs completely outclassed Ken Gold's Trojans, limiting them to one lone point in the 1st frame and posting quarter margins of 15-1, 37-22 and 50-28.  Jacobs substituted freely, as early as the 2nd stanza.  Neil Tope led the charge,  meshing 17 points.  Teammate Greg Kurtz added 10.  High for the Trojans were Gary Adams and Harold Swinford with 15 and 12, respectively.  Conotton Valley, which will visit Midvale December 29 to tangel with the powerful and undefeated Blue Devils,  fired in 17 of 44 action shots for 39 percent and made 22 of 37 charities.  Tuscarawas Valley sank 14 of 58 floor flings for 26 percent and hit on 14 of 34 foul tries.  Rebounds favored the talented Rockets 41-30.  Kurtz grabed 10.  Swinford paced the Trojans.  TV, which hosts Hiland the 29th, tried a stall offense, but the Rockets pulled  off several steals to thwart the move.  No Reserve game was reported.
