65 - Meet The 1964-65 Stone Creek Panthers




STONE CREEK - Coach Charles Huggins, in  his 2nd year, has just 2 lettermen back.  They are:

Senior Jim Wherley, 5-9 Guard

Flinner was high-point maker on the 1963-64 squad, potting 253 including tournament play during which the Panthers advanced to the Sectional finals where they bowed 32-29 to Dennison.  Endlich pushed through 244 tallies, Wherley 206, Turner 200 and McPherson 135.  Last year's club posted a 14-9 record and their tournament work was the best  in the history of the school.

"The boys are working hard, especially on defense," Huggins said.  "They have the desire to  win."  Huggins was named Coach of the Year in the County A League last season.
