Stone Creek Wins Another One With 47-30 Win Against Kidren Central Christian (1-23-65)
STONE CREEK - The Charlie Huggins-coached Stone Creek Panthers (12-2) continued on the way to one of the school's best basketball records in history Saturday night, slapping Kidron Central Christian. Neither team could get any offense going in the 1st half which saw the Panthers crawl to quarter margins of 10-6 and 16-14. After 3 periods Stone Crfeek held a 34-18 advantge. The Panthers, owning a gleaming slate, fired through 19 shots in 50 tries for 28 percent. The Crusaders sank 10 of 41 for about 25 percent. From the foul lines the Panthers went 9 of 16 and the visitors 10-of 19. Rebounds favored Stone Creek 56-34, with Jim Wherley and John Bihari leading the way with 8 and John Feller snaring 7. Tim Baab paced the Panther scoring derby with 12 points, Bihari popped in 11. Stone Creek will visit Strasburg Friday. The Stone Creek Reserves (9-1) continued to roll with a 51-28 win over the Kidren Central Christian Reserves.
