63 - Tusky And Garaway Pick Up Wins (5-32-63)





TUSCARAWAS - We pick up the Tuscarawas County Class "A" Baseball League during the 2nd half of the season.  Coach Dick Ronald's Tuscarawas Broncos defeated the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans 7-5.  Jim Grant was the winning hurler, giving up 4 hits, walking 2 and striking out 9.  Gary Adams was the losing hurler, giving up 4 hits, walking 4 and fanning 7.  Jerry Grove provided the big bat for the winners.  With  the score tied at 3-all in the top of the 6th and 2 men on, he smacked a double to drive in the winning runs.  Grant and Phil Ashkettle both added singles.  Clagstone had a double for the Trojans.

SUGARCREEK - Garaway bombed Stone Creek 16-5 here last night in Tuscarawas County League baseball action.  Milligan took the win and Ed Wallace the loss.  The Pirates had 13 hits, including a triple by Stevanus and a double by Andy Miller.  The Panthers had 7 hits, including a triple by Wires and doubles by Gail Mizer and Endlich.
