BOLIVAR - After losing 10 straight games, 9 this year, the first victory of the season was mighty sweet for Coach Bob Heller and his Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (1-3) (1-9).  There was only sadness for the Stone Creek Panthers (1-4) (2-10); however, as they lost their 5th straight.  The Trojans got off to a slow start, but led 7-5 at the end for the first stanza.  Stone Creek surged ahead, 17-16 at halftime, however.  Back and forth the lead went in the third period, finally ending up tied at 29-All.  Tusky Valley grabbed a 39-35 lead with the time running out, but the Panthers stole the ball and went in for a basket to make it 39-37.  Seconds later, the Trojans got a foul attempt,  missed, but grabbed the rebound and held on until time ran out.  That first victory is the hardest.  Dave Schwartz popped in 14 for TV, backed up by Ed Crawford's 11 counters.  Bob Hamilton with 14 and Cliff Endlich with 11 paced Stone Creek.  The Panthers hit 33 percent, 11 of 33, while Tusky Valley connected on only 21 percent, 12 of 56, Stone Creek made only 15 of 37 foul shots.  In the Reserve game earlier, Tuscarawas Valley (8-2) ran over Stone Creek (0-7) 42-31.
