MIDVALE - Although billed as one of the top games of the night, Midvale (3-0) (7-1) paid no heed to the clippings and turned in a comparatively easy victory over Baltic (2-1) (4-4). The blue Devils posted quarter leads of 14-4, 42-12 and 57-24. Eleven of Coach Pete Hilliard's charges dented the scoring column with Dean DeMattio leading the way with 14 points. Jim Tidrick had 12 and Bob Byers and Neal Beans each contributed 10. Dick Gerber led Baltic with 14. Midvale swept the night as the Midvale Reserves (7-1) burned the Baltic Reserves (2-4) 85-29 and in the Junior High game, Midvale prevailed over Baltic 26-22.
