62 - TV Remains Winless Against Dalton 74-55 (12-29-61)




DALTON - Hapless Tuscarawas Valley (0-6) faltered in the second half and fell to its 6th straight defeat Friday night, losing to Dalton.  The Trojans trailed 15-8 at the end of the first period, but outscored Dalton 19-15 in the second quarter to draw near, 30-27, at halftime.  In the second half; however, it was all Dalton as the hosts outscored Tusky Valley 44-28.  Paul Miller poured in 28 points for the winners, while Larry Zurther, the state's top Class A football back, pumped in 16.  Dean Nemetz topped Tusky Valley with 15 points.  David Schwartzx hit for 13 and Mike Boyd dropped in 11.  In the Reserve game, Tuscarawas Valley (4-2) stopped Dalton 35-28.
