CONOTTON VALLEY - The Tuscarawas Broncos (1-4) ran into a steaming band of Conotton Valley Rockets Saturday night and fell for the fourth time in 5 outings.  The Rockets, trying to make up for being upset by Hopedale the night before, hit on better than 47 percent of their action shots, while the Broncos managed a weak 20 percent.  Conotton canned 32 of 68, while Tuscarawas connected on only 12 of 60.  Thus it appears that the Broncos may be an up and down team this season.  The Broncos never were in the contest as Conotton rolled to a 22-9 first period advantage and led 44-16 at the half.  The Rockets carried a 68-25 margin into the final period.  The Broncos' 2 leading scorers, Phil Meese and Fred Burish, hit on one of nine and one of 14 shots respectively.  Meese managed only seven total points, while Burmish wound up with a mere 2.  Freshman Russ McGlothlin took scoring honors for the Broncos with 13 markers.  Jim Kurtz potted 21 markers for the Rockets to take game scoring honors.  B. Tope chipped in with 16, Garner 12 and Dan Tope 11 for the Harrison County club.  The Conotton Valley Reserves dropped the Tusky Reserves (1-3) 39-27.
