62 - Tuscarawas Clips Baltic 67-61 (1-26-62)

TUSCARAWAS - A hot first quarter and a come-from-behind rally in the third quarter powered the Tusky Broncos (5-2) (7-6) to the nod over the Baltic Eagles (2-4) (7-8).  Tusky jumped off to a 16-10 lead in the initial frame, but the visiting Eagles scorched the nets for 18 points in the second period, while the Broncos managed only 9 as the Eagles led at the half 28-27.  The Broncos galloped back after intermission to can 15 points, while limiting Baltic to 11 for a 45-39 third period lead.  The Eagles experienced a very cold second half, hitting on only 13 of 53 attempts after showing good outside shooting during the first 2 quarters.  Tusky shot 27 of 85 for 31.7 percent, while Baltic managed to hit on 24 of 87 for 27.5 percent.  Fred Burmich got back in the groove for Tusky after a poor showing last week to tie for scoring honors with Willis Mulletof Baltic with 21 points.  Phil Meese was close behind with 20 with Russ McGlothlin of the Broncos and Jack Miller, Lautenschleger, Kaser and Gerber of Baltic all netting 10.  Earlier, the Baltic Reserves (4-6) clipped the Tuscarawas Reserves (6-7) 32-29.
