STONE CREEK - Superior strength in the rebounding department carried Gnadenhutten (5-3) (14-6) past Stone Creek (1-7) (3-16), despite the latter's first  quarter bid for an upset.  The hosst Panthers grabbed a 14-11 first period lead, but caould not keep it up.  At halftime they trailed 25-22 and then the Indians of Coach Ron Sakola opened up in the third stanzsa to take a 44-35 lead into the last period.  Although both teams were hurt somewhat by flu, the bug probably hit StoneCreek hardest.  Coach Ken Lawhun had half of his team out during practice this week and only Verle (Curly) Endlich escaped the bug.  Gnadenhutten shot 39 percent from the field, canning 27 of 69.  Stone Creek hit a good 10 percent, but could get off only 42 shots against the taller Indians.  Bruce Kohl dropped in 15 points to pace the  Indians, backed up by Bob Ervin with 13 and Brad Kaiser with 11.  Cliff Endlich with 13 and Verle (Curly) Endlich with 11 were high for the Panthers.  The game brought the regular season  curtain down for both teams.  The Stone Creek Reserves (0-13) ended their season winless as they lost to the Gnadenhutten Reserves (12-6) who also played their last game.
