STONE CREEK - Stone Creek (1-2) (2-5) slayed "Giant-Killer" Tuscarawas with a strong third quarter and an effective semi-stall in the final period.  After fighting it out on even terms, 16-16 in the first half, the Panthers took a solid 36-31 margin into the fourth frame.  Coach Ken Lawhun's quintet then went into a semi-stall and was content to pick up the game-winning points at the free throw line.  One of the key factors in the Stone  Creek victory, its stingy defense which limited Tuscarawas' high-scoring pair, Phil Meese and Fred Burmich to  just 12 points combined.  Cliff Endlich topped the Panthers with 12 points, followed by Jim Billman with 10.  Jim McGlothin paced the Broncos with 16 points.  Stone Creek made 17 of 49 action shots for 34.7 percent, while Tusky had a comparatively cold night, meshing 13 of 46 for 28.2 percent.  Tuscarawas Reserves (4-3) slipped by the Stone Creek Reserves (0-5) 38-35 in overtime.
