GNADENHUTTEN - Continuing its reign over Tuscarawas County foes, Conotton Valley racked up its 10th victory of the campaign Saturday night with a decision over Gnadenhutten (12-5). The win was the Rocket's 5th in as many starts over Tuscarawas County combines. Previously, the Harrison County combine of Coach Dave Scott defeated Dennison, Tuscarawas, TV and Midvale. Red hot Jerry Rippeth paced the Rockets with 23 points, while Billy Tope hit 21 with the pair combining for 12 points in the big 4th quarter. Bob Ervin flipped in 29 for the Indians of Coach Ron Sakola, while Dave Struchen hit 13. Although at a big height disadvantage, Gnaden held its own on the boards, while a total of 25 turnovers proved costly. The Gnadenhutten Reserves (10-5) won in the opening game of the night by defeating the Conotton Valley Reserves 45-39.
