PORT WASHINGTON - Splended balance and outstanding backcourt punch led the Broncos of Coach Aaron Miller (4-1) (5-6) in their avenging triumph over Port Washington (0-5) (3-9) last night.  With 4 in double digest, Tusky thus avenged its only home loss of the season, having dropped an early season nod to the Purple Riders 64-61.  Fred Burmich led the attack with 22 points as he and Phil Meese, with 17, provided a potent punch with outside shooting.  Russ McGlothlin chipped in with 16 points from his pivot post, while Bob Romig spearheading a fine third quarter uprising, ended with 13 markers.  But game honors went to Port's center Tony Nigro who had his most productive night with 31 points on 10 fielders and 11 of 14 foul attempts.  Tusky led by slim differentials of 15-13 and 34-31 before breaking the game open in the third stanza.  Tusky outscored the hosts 24-13 in that period for a 59-44 advantage,  sparked by Romig's 7 points after the Junior had come off the bench late in the second canto.  Tusky is on a 3 game win streak for the campaign.  Port Washington has now dropped 7 straight decisions after winning 3 of its first 5 outings.  The Tusky Reserves (5-4) knocked off the Port Washington Reserves (3-7) 39-29.
