62 - Stone Creek Snaps Losing Streak At Augusta 63-49 (2-4-62)




AUGUSTA - Stone Creek's Panthers (3-15) sprinted in the second half Saturday night to clip host Augusta and snap a 10-game losing streak.  The Panthers led almost all the way.  They took a 11-10 first quarter lead and led at the half 29-24.  They potted 15 points to Augusta's 12 in the third to take a 44-36 lead into the final period.  Stone Creek attempted 63 shots and made 23 for 33 percent, while the host club hit on only 16 of 72 action attempts for 22 percent.  Bob Hamilton lead all scorers with 21 points, followed by Cliff Endlich with 14, Jim Billman with 11 and Verle Endlich 10.  Wes Crawford paced Augustas with 20 points.  The Augusta Reserves stopped the winless Stone Creek Reserves (0-12) 34-28.
