62 - Dennison Trips Tuscarawas Valley 59-46 (1-7-62)
DENNISON - The Dennison Railroaders bounced back in fine style Saturday night after being upended by Newcomerstown the night before with a win over a winless Tuscarawas Valley (0-9) at the local gym. It marked the seventh win of the season for the Railroaders. The Railroaders never were headed as they jumped out to an early 6-0 lead before Tusky Valley scored twice to bring it to 6-4. Both clubs improved their shooting eyes after intermission. Dennison hit on 13 of 34 in the first half for 38 percent and TV hit on only 7 of 23 for 31 percent. However, in the second half Dennison hit on 12 of 23 for a fine 55 percent, while the trojans connected on 12 of 27 for 44 percent. With Evo Marini leading the way with 7 of his 17 points, the locals hiked their lead to 45-32 going into the final quarter. The Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (7-2) turned back the Dennison Reserves 33-26.
