PORT WASHINGTON - Fresno beat off a stubborn Port Washington rally in the final period to hand Port (3-4) it's fourth defeat of the year.  Fresno caught Port by surprise and took a 15-9 first period edge and led 29-16 at the half and 40-23 after 3 quarters.  The Purple Riders made a determined bid in the last canto and ripped the cords for 21 points, while holding Fresno to 16.  However, Port lost the services of 3 regulars in the last 3 minutes when it appeared they were going to pull the game out of the fire.  Alvin Fillman, Tom Loader and Tony Nigro who accounted for 23 of Port's points, all went out with 5 personals.  There was no mention of a Reserve game.
