62 - Hiland Hands TV 7th Loss 54-46 (12-30-61)




BERLIN - Hiland's Hawks (7-2), led by big Andy Ahijevych, spurted in the second half to trip the invading Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (0-7) Saturday night.  Tusky Valley managed to grab the lead in the first quarter 9-6, but fell 3 points behind at the half.  After losing only 2 points to the host Hawks in the third frame, the Trojans couldn't come up with a fourth quarter rally.  Ahijevych clearing the boards and stuffing in points, Tusky Valley couldn't close the gap.  Ahijevych meshed 23 points for game honors.  Dan Crilley netted 10 points and Dave Schwartz 14 in a substitute's role to pace Tusky Valley.  Hiland connected on 22 of 63 shots from the field for a 35 percent mark.  Tusky Valley swished 17 of 51 for an even 33 percent.  TV made a good 12 of 14 at the charity stripe.  Tusky Valley (5-2) won a thrilling Reserve game 37-29.  The score was tied at 29-All at the end of regulation play, but Tusky Valley completely dominated the overtime  period.
