TUSCARAWAS - TheTuscarawas Broncos (1-0) (1-3) came back from a 2-point deficit at the end of a quarters to go ahead with five minutes left in the game for a win over previously unbeaten Garaway (0-1) (4-1) last night at the winners' gym.  The Broncos made the most of every opportunity last night and actually won the game at the charity stripe.  The charges of Coach Aaron Miller canned 24 of 32 fouls, while Garaway was hitting on 17 of 25.  Both teams canned 21 field goals and Garaway hit for 59 percent in the second half and the Broncos 51 percent.  Phil Meese potted 28 markers for Tusky to take game honors, while Fred Burmich chimed in with 20.  Roy Yoder hit for 21, Dan Bleininger 12 and Wayne Burkey 11 to lead the Pirates.  With the Broncos ahead by 2 with 5 minutes left in the game, Garaway began pressing a bit too hard and as a result 3 Pirates fouled out.  Lost to Garaway late in  the contest were Yoder, Bleininger and Don Deetz.  Bronco depth told the tale as Freshman Russ McGlothlin potted 8 points, Phil Caldwell 2 and Bob Romig 2 late in the final period.  McGlothlin also was forced to sit the bench late in the last canto with 5 personals.  Meese deserves a lot of credit for the win.  It was his fine ball handling in the final stages which frustrated the Pirates as he maneuvered in for easy shots.  Meese hit for 3 goals and 3 fouls in the final period to lead the Bronco surge.  Burmich also proved cool under pressure as he canned 3 of 4 fouls in the final period, while McGlothlin hit for 2 goals.  "I think it was our depth and our physical condition that won it for us," Miller said.  "I also think we out-defensed them.  We have really improved.  We beat a real good ball club tonight."  Their was no report of a Reserve game.
