62 - Stone Creek Is Baltic Victim 55-45 (1-7-62)




STONE CREEK - The baltic Eagles (7-5) handed Stone Creek (2-9) its 9th loss of the season Saturday night.  Inability to hit with any consistency led in the Panthers' downfall as they hit on only 15 of 57 shots for a weak 26.3 percent.  Baltic hit on 20 of 53 for 37.7 percent.  Stone Creek hit on 15 of 21 fouls and Baltic 15 of 30.  The Eagles connected on 7 of their first 10 shots in the initial quarter and led 16-8 at the first stop.  Stone Creek fought back with 15 points in the second period while limiting Baltic to 10.  The Eagles again pulled out in front with a 41-29 lead at the final stop before Stone Creek came back to outscore the winners 14-11, but the rally fell short.  Jim Billman topped the Panthers with 13 points with Cliff Endlich adding 11.  Willis Mullet led Baltic with 16 points and Jack Miller added 12.  No mention of a Reserve game.
