PORT WASHINGTON - Snapping a 3-game losing streak, the Tuscarawas Broncos (3-3) met the challenge on Port Washington's new floor last night for their third victory.  Port (3-4), found the proverbial lid on the hoop, while Tusky was enjoying its top night from action.  The game was a close battle until the fading minutes and Port was force to press the Broncos in order to overcome  the deficit, thereby fouling and turning the game into a more lopsided affair.  Tusky potted 24 points in the final canto as compared to Port's 15, the difference primarily at the foul line.  Tusky, also turned in a top flight performance under the boards as Vic Vesco, Ben Metzger and Terry Rainsberg paced the Broncos to 39 rebounds as compared to Port's 22 snags.  Phil Meese led the victors with 20 points, while  Rainsberg, apparently recovered from a football knee injury, followed with 17 and Metzger 11.  All Port Wqashington starters were in double figures, but the one-two punch of Bender and Phillips were off their usual pace.  Jim Hannahs led Port with 14 points, followed by Bill Phillips with 11.  Jim Bender, Gary Gay and Tony Nigro followed that with 10 points each.  The  Tuscarawas Reserves (4-1) also won  their  game over the Port Washington Reserves (2-3) 32-22.
