61 - Freeport Stops Gnaden 53-35 (11-30-60)
FREEPORT - The Freeport Red Raiders (2-0) scored their second straight victory of the season here last night with an impressive triumph over Gnadenhutten (1-1). Except for a 3-3 deadlock in the first quarter, Freeport led all the way at the Harrison County Gym, widening the gap to 25-20 at halftime and 42-32 at the end of the third period. Gnadenhutten managed only 3 points in the final stanza giving the hosts a lopsided decision. Jim Greenwalt led the Red Raiders with 19 points for game laurels, while Dick Clark potted 11. The best the Tribe could muster was Bill Blickensderfer's 9 points. Greenwalt was a tower of strength on the board for Freeport, snaring 17 rebounds. The Gnadenhutten Reserves (2-0) continued their winning ways when they breezed by the Freeport Reserves 45-39.
