61 - Tusky Sends Baltic To Their 5th Straight Defeat 67-55 (1-28-61)
BALTIC - The Baltic-Tuscarawas game turned into a rough and tumble skirmish with the Eagles (3-3) (8-9) getting the worst end. They lost high scoring Dale Lautenschleger, Gary Mast and Willis Mullet in the final period when each absorbed their fifth personal fouls. Tuscarawas (4-3) (8-6) forged into a 35-29 lead at halftime after the score had been deadlocked 17-17 at the end of the first quarter. The Broncos held a 52-40 margin at the third stop. Phil Meese tallied 18 points to lead the victory, while Chet Summers added 12 and Paul Cerana and Ben Metzger 11 apiece. Lautenschleger topped the Eagles with 17 markers, Charles McPherson added 13. Baltic made 21 of 57 from the field for 36.7 percent, while the Broncos came up with a mark approximated at 44 percent. The Eagles connected 13 times in 19 tries from the foul line and Tusky made 17 of 29 charity tosses. The Baltic Reserves (9-7) clipped the Tuscarawas Reserves (8-5) 30-26.
