61 - Tusky Snares 65-36 Victory In First Game (11-26-60)


TUSCARAWAS - The Tuscarawas Broncos (1-0) opened their 1960-1961 cage schedule on the victory side when they dumped Augusta (0-2) last night.  It was the first win under the banner of Coach Aaron Miller.  Midvale defeated Augusta in their opener.  It was an impressive victory for the Broncos as 4 of the 5 starters ended in double figures with Vic Vesco and Paul Cerana setting the pace with 17 points apiece.  Phil Meese and Rick Staley tossed in 15 and 10 points respectively.  Crawford and Hillyer led the losers with 10 points apiece.  After the first period in which the scoreboard showed the Broncos in the  lead by 3 points, 15-12, they opened the lead and rushed to a 31-24 halftime lead and followed with a 55-32 third period margin.  No Reserve game reported nor any other statistics.
