61 - Midvale Makes It Two Straight 59-47 (11-26-60)
MIDVALE - The Midvale Blue Devils (2-0) unleashed a versatile scoring attack here last night to defeat the West Lafayette Generals and chalked up their second straight victory. The Blue Devils were behind 13-10 at the end of the first period, but gained the upperhand at halftime 29-21 and held it the remainder of the way, leading 46-31 at the end of the third quarter. Four Blue Devil starters ended the night in double figures. Rich Belknap led the victory with 19 points, while Neal Beans followed with 15, Warren Leggett scored 13 and Bob Byers 10. Leading the way for the Generals was Larry Hedricks with 16 points, Bill Simmons added 14 and Jim Royce 10. Midvale (2-0) also picked up a win in the Reserve game by jumping on the West Lafayette Reserves 41-34.
