61 - Gnaden 47-35...2nd Win Against Midvale This Year (2-4-61)
GNADENHUTTEN - Coach Ron Sakola's Indians (5-2) (10-7) made it 2 in a row over the Devils (3-4) (10-7) this season. However, last night's win was the most important because it was a league test. Earlier this season, Gnaden took a 67-65 overtime decision at Midvale. Gary Dichler gave the host club a 13-7 first period margin as he collected 8 of his 17 points. The 17 markers paced the tribe, who were never out of command the rest of the game; although, the Devils closed the gap to 3 points in the second half on several occasions. Ray Rank, also proved to be quite a big man in the attack. He cleaned both boards, while holding Warren Leggett and Bob Byers out front for their10 and 11 points. The Junior High game was won by Gnaden 35-33 over Midvale. In the Reserve Game, Gnaden (8-7) won again just edging Midvale (10-6) 31-29.
