61 - Strasburg Drops 10th At Sandy Valley 56-41 (1-16-61)


SANDYVILLE - Strasburg (1-10) suffered its 10th straight defeat here Saturday night, despite continued use of a control game, when the Sandy Valley Cardinals (7-1) snared the decision.  Strasburg has been winless since a 54-52 overtime victory over Fairless in its season opener.  Sandy Valley's only loss was to Dover.  In the first period Strasburg moved to a 7-2 lead, but the Cards came firing back to take a 22-15 lead at halftime and moved to the verdict.  Jim Clymer paced the Tigers with 16 points.  High man for Sandy Valley was Tom Reicosky with 17.  Leon Frazier added 12 and Wayne Slutz 15.  The Sandy Valley Reserves started the onslaught with a win over the Strasburg Reserves (6-4) 40-25.
