61 - East Canton Creams Strasburg 73-31 (1-9-61)
EAST CANTON - Strasburg High's Tigers (1-8) went down to their eighth straight defeat here Saturday night when the once-beaten East Canton Hornets (7-1) romped to victory. Strasburg hasn't been on the winning side of the ledger since topping Fairless 54-52 in overtime in the the Tiger's season opener. The Hornets fell just short of a school rebound record when they collected 58. Vic Mair and Willie Stroud controlled the boards for the hosts, grabbing 18 and 14, respectively. Mair also led the scoring for East Canton with 21 points, while Jack Knoch collected 14. Adrian Edie led the Tigers with 10 points. Strasburg had a dismal night from the field, making only 12 of 52 attempts for 21 percent. East Canton meshed 28 of 73 for 37 percent. The reserve game was not reported by The Daily Reporter.
