61 - Midvale Beats Back Strasburg 70-65 (1-7-61)
It took a big second half for the Midvale Blue Devils (3-1) (7-3)to turn back the determined bid of once victorous Strasburg (0-3) (1-7). The Bengals led the Devils 19-16 at the first stop and 34-30 at the half before Midvale rallied back. The Blue Devils came out from the halftime talk to outscore Strasburg 22 to 9 and take a 52-43 lead at the end of 3 quarters. Four players were in 2 figures for Coach Pete Hilliard as Rick Belknap potted 21 for game laurels and Neal Beans had 16, Warren Leggett 14 and Mike Page 12. Vic Gessner and Jim Clymer led Strasburg with 15 points each. In the Reserve game played earlier in the night, Midvale (7-3) prevaled against Strasburg (6-2) 48-31.
