63 - Dennison Hands Port Washington First Loss 66-58 (11-30-62)

DENNISON - The Dennison Railroaders garnered victory No. 2 here last night by turning back a fighting Port Washington (2-1) combine. John Neighbor led the winning attack with 28 points. Nick Cummings had 21 and Fred Lecce 11. Tom Loader paced the Riders with 13 points. Wayne Blind picked up 12 points, while Larry Laisure and Ken Gay followed with 10 apiece. The Railroaders started off strong, but the Riders never gave up and came back to tie the game at 24-all midway in the 2nd quarter. Dennison jumped out to a 5-point margin at intermission. Dennison ht on 26 of 67 attempts from the field for 39 percent. Port canned 24 of 66 for 37 percent. The Dennison Reserves also won their game by tieing up the Port Washington Reserves (0-3) 42-32.
