62 - Tuscarawas Hands Gnaden Initial League Loss 10-3 (5-10-62)

GNADENHUTTEN - Tuscarawas (4-4) handed Gnadenhutten (9-2) its first league loss of the season yesterday. The Indians started out with 3 straight hits and 2 runs, but could not collect another hit until the sixth inning. Bill Fellers (1-3) went the distance for Coach Dick Ronald's Broncos, giving up 4 hits and fanning 5. Dave Strucher (6-2) started for the Indians, was relieved by Jim McCreary (2-0) in the fifth. McCreary gave way to Jim Jinks (0-0) in the seventh. Tusky bunched its hits for 4-run outbursts in the 5th and 7th innings, picking up single runs in the third and fourth. Fred Burmich and Jerry Grove led the 10-hit attack for Tusky with a single and double apiece and Jim Grant and Phil Caldwell both had 2 singles.
