GNADENHUTTEN - Fighting his way out of several jams, Alvin Fillman (3-0) hurled the undefeated Port Washington Purple Riders (3-0) to a victory over Tuscarawas High (1-2) Monday to open the Tuscarawas County League Baseball Tournament.  In gaining a berth opposite Garaway (1-2) on Wednesday, Port thus gained its third straight diamond victory, eliminating Tusky in the process.  Fillman limited Tusky batsmen to but 2 singles in posting the win, but gave up 8 walks to put himself in the hole several times.  Responding in the clutch, he then held the Broncos to lone unearned runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh frames.  Taking a 1-0 lead in the first frame, Port was deadlocked in the fourth before erupting for 3 runs in the sixth to put the game on ice as Wayne Blind crashed a bases-loaded double.  Bill Fellers (0-2) started for the Broncos with Jeff Maxwell (1-0) coming on in the sixth.  Fellers walked 3 and fanned 4.  Fillman posted 11 strikeouts.  Steve Bender, Alvin Fillman and Tom Loader each collected singles in the 7-hit Port attack, while Phil Calwell and Fred Burmich had Tusky's lone singles of the game.
