GNADENHUTTEN - The surprising Port Washington Purple Riders (2-0) mastered an old nemesis here Tuesday night as they spoiled the Gnadenhutten basketball inaugural.  In snapping a 10-game losing streak at the hands of the Indians (0-1), the Riders garnered their second straight triumph having topped Stone Creek (0-1) last week.  The Indians, under new Coach Oren Thompson set the pace most of the way over the combine of Coach Don Durham.  Port slipped into a 13-11 first quarter lead, after holding an 11-4 advantage in the early minutes.  Gnaden led 26-24 and 39-37 at the next 2 stops.  Port moved into a quick lead in the 4th quarter and never trailed after that.  Veteran Tom Loader led the Riders with 19 points, while 3 members of the Gnadenhutten team were in 2 digits as Bruce Kohl dropped in 12 and Gary Rice and Rick Fellers 11.  The Gnadenhutten Reserves (2-1) beat the Port Washington Reserves (0-3) - No Stats.  In addition, the Gnadenhutten Junior High team whipped the Port Washington Junior High team - Again, No Stats.
