STRASBURG - Making his first start of the season, southpaw Ron Boyer (1-0) worked himself out of several rough situations Tuesday to pitch Strasburg (6-4) to victory over Stone Creek (0-5). Boyer allowed only 5 hits, each to a different Panther, struck out 8 and walked 5 in recording the victory. He had the bases loaded twice, but got out of the jam. Ed Wallace (0-3) went the first 6 innings for Stone Creek, but gave way to Art Scott (0-1) in the last inning. The Tigers got one run in the first, another in the second and 2 in the third. Ron Lab led the Tigers with a triple and a single.
