62 - Gnaden Shells Stone Creek 28-4 (4-3--62)




GNADENHUTTEN - Fall Champion Gnadenhutten (1-0) picked up the momentum of a few months ago as it belted Stone Creek (0-1) in their opening game on Tuesday.  Limiting the invaders to but 3 singles, Gnadenhutten tabbed itself as a strong threat for spring honors with the impressive victory, called after 3 1/2 innings on agreement of the losers.  The Indians of Coach Ted Martin collected 12 hits in the abbreviated test, with Glenn Miller and Dick Shull getting 2 for 2 at the plate.  Jim McCreary going 3 for 3 and Bruce Kohl 2 for 3.  Miller and McCreary had tiples and Dave Struchen a double.  Struchen (1-0), Don Garret (0-0) and Jim Jinks (0-0) were on the hill for the Tribe,  while Scott (0-1) started for Stone Creek.
