62 - Gnaden Drops Strasburg From Tourney 5-2 (4-24-62)

GNADENHUTTEN - Gnadenhutten (6-0) and Garaway (3-2) will square off tomorrow in the finals of the Tuscarawas County League Tournament as a result of last night's action.  Dave Sruchen (4-0) pitched the Indians into the finals with a neat 5-hitter against Strasburg which the Tribe won 5-2.  Garaway bested Baltic (2-3) 13-4.  Struchen, who has allowed only one  earned run in 4 victories, walked but one and wiffed 10 Tigers to give Coach Ted Martin's crew its sixth straight win.  Jim Clymer (3-3), on the hill for the losers, also gave up 5 hits, but walked 4 and struck out 7.  The Indians got 2 runs in the fourth and 3 in the seventh for the victory.  Bill Davis smacked a bases-loaded double in the fourth to drive in 2 runs and Dick Shull came through with a 2-run single in the top of the seventh.  Both Strasburg runs, unearned, came in  the fourth inning.
