SUGARCREEK - Riding on Dan Bleininger's "almost" no-hitter, the Pirates of Garaway (5-4) whipped Tuscarawas (4-5) Monday. Bleininger (3-3) pitched hitless ball until the 7th inning when Tuscarawas came up with 2 hits and its only run of the game. Bleininger fanned 10 batters and walked only 2. Fellers (1-4) started for Tuscarawas, but was relieved by Jim Grant (1-0). The Pirates got 3 runs in the third, 2 in the 4th and one in the sixth. Randy Miller got the big hit for the Pirates, a triple. All told, Garaway got to the Tusky pitching pair for a total of 6 hits.
