STONE CREEK - The Stone Creek Panthers (1-0) blasted the Baltic Eagles (0-1) on Monday during the opening game of the Tuscarawas County Fall Baseball League. Stone Creek had little difficulty against Baltic. The Panthers got good mound work from Art Scott (1-0) who scattered 10 hits and were vastly aided by 10 Baltic miscues. Pacing the Stone Creek batsmen were Harry Deibel with a double and single, Cliff Endlich with 2 singles and Jim Barker with a double. Dick Gerber rapped 2 doubles and a single for Baltic and Keith Miller and Larry Luke each contributed a double and single.
