BALTIC - The Eagles of Baltic (4-5) jumped on a pair of pitchers Monday afternoon to crush Port Washington (4-4). Baltic wasted little time in getting to Port starter Larry Laisure (1-1), scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning. The Eagles got another run in the 2nd and chased Laisure from the mound. Alvin Fillman (3-3) came on in the third and went the rest of the way, giving up 5 runs in the fourth. Baltic combed the Purple Rider hurlers for 11 hits. The Port pair issued 9 walks, while striking out 6 batters. Huprich (3-4) was in complete charge meanwhile for the Eagles, as he gave up only 3 hits and struck out 11. Jack Miller led the Eagles ast the plate with a double and a single.
