62 - Gnaden Scalps Newcomerstown 5-1 (4-10-62)
GNADENHUTTEN - The Gnadenhutten Indians (4-0) continued to romp on the diamond yesterday as they came up with a nod over Newcomerstown. Jim McCreary (1-0) started on the hill for the Tribe and allowed but 4 hits and the lone run in 6 innings of work. Freshman Jim Jinks (0-0) hurled the final stanza. Ernie Art started and took the loss for the Trojans with Chuck Van Dusen coming on in the 5th frame. The losing duo permitted 9 hits, including a triple by Glenn Miller and 2 hits each for Dave Struchen and Bruce Kohl. McCreary struck out 8 batters in his 6 innings of work.
