MIDVALE - Neal Beans (2-2) bested Bill Fellers (0-3) in an exciting pitcher's duel Tuesday as Midvale (2-2) nipped Tuscarawas (1-3) in an engagement at Midvale. Beans hurled a neat one-hitter in getting the win, helping his own cause with a bases-loaded single in the sixth frame. But, Fellers was also razor sharp, allowing but 2 hits, while spoiling Beans' bid for a perfect performance with a clean single. Midvale's southpaw walked 4 and fanned 3, while facing only 24 men over the 7 innings, while Fellers walked 4 and fanned 4. Weaver had the other Midvale hit, also a single. The Blue Devils of Coach Pete Hilliard tallied in the sixth inning to overcome Tusky's run in the first, as Beans singled after a walk and 2 errors filled the sacks.
