SUGARCREEK - Garaway High's Pirates (1-0) opened their 1959-1960 basketball season in top notch style here last night, scoring a victory over invading Baltic (1-2). The two teams battled nip and tuck until the final four minutes when Garaway, led by Koran Zehnder, broke away for the win. Zehnder meshed 27 points to pace the winning attack. Gary Gerber led Baltic with 19 points. The Baltic Reserves (3-0) however, did some of their own rolling, knocking over the Garaway Reserves (0-1) 49-24.*
