60 - Hiland Hands Garaway First Defeat 8-6 (9-30-59)


SUGARCREEK - Garaway's Pirates (5-1) went down to their first defeat on the Fall baseball campaign yesterday in a NON-Tuscarawas County League battle with Hiland. However, the Pirates remain undefeated in the county league with four straight victories. They will entertain Baltic (3-1) tomorrow afternoon at Community Park. Linus Miller hurled the victory for Hiland, while Bob Raber (1-1) was charged with the defeat. Jarret Gray led the losers with two home runs, while Tom Andrews singled twice. Leading the winners was Miller and Gary Hershberger with two singles and a double each.
