STONE CREEK - Port Washington (1-2) chalked up its first Fall baseball win in high fashion yesterday with a rout of Stone Creek (0-2). Jim Bender (1-2) went the distance, allowing but three hits, while fanning 10 and walking 7. Larry Stephen (0-1) was the loser, giving up 14 hits, striking out 8 and walking 8. Tom Loader, John Landon and Bender all pounded out three hits for coach Dick King's Purple Riders, while Quillen had two safeties for the Panthers of Coach Ernie Lukens. The Riders return to action Monday, traveling to Garaway, while Stone Creek is at Garaway Thursday.
