PORT WASHINGTON - Port Washington's Purple Riders (2-2) matched a rugged Keene quintet in the field goal department last night, but couldn't keep pace at the charity line falling to the invaders 64-57. The visitors made 14 free throws, Port only 7 and that was the margin of defeat. It was the second straight setback for Coach Dick King's charges after two straight victories. Larry Parkhill ripped the cords for 35 points and did most of the rebounding for Keene. John Landon and Jim Bender led the Port assault with 15 markers apiece, while Bill Phillips totaled 11. The Keene Reserves prevailed by edging the Port Reserves (2-2) 54-50.
