Baltic (1-2) (3-5) Coach Jim Weinsz was none too pleased with the way officials were doing their whistle tooting at Midvale last night. Four of his starting five left the game after being tagged with five personal fouls. "I certainly don't want the basketball fans of this county to think we played dirty. On the contrary I think we were the ones who were being shoved all over the place". Fouling out were Chuck McPherson, Bob Ladrach, Gary Gerber and Dave Berger. Midvale (1-1) ((2-4) had a red hot night at the foul line and made 30 of its 46 attempts to take the victory. The Devils were outgoaled by the Eagles 25-18. The defending county league champions led most of the way, posting quarter leads of 20-9, 28-19 and 48-38. John Rice of Baltic regained his scoring form to nab laurels for the night with 28 points. Ron Breniser's 23 was high for the Devils. Neil Beans added 22 points for the winners, 14 coming via the free throw route. Gerber took runnerup honors for the Eagles with 18 points. Earlier, the Midvale Reserves (3-3) handed the Baltic Reserves (7-1) their first loss of the season 38-33. The Midvale Junior High team also handled Baltic by beating their Junior High team. However, the score was not reported.
