Tusky Valley (TV) Trojans (1-0) (2-0) stamped itself as a solid contender for league laurels in its romp over Port Washington (1-1) (2-1). Controlling both boards despite a loss of several tall players by graduation, theTrojans found little trouble in the improved Purple Riders combination. The Trojan defense limited port to 41 shots from the field, while taking 84 on their own. Both teams ended with 37 percent marks, as TV meshed 31 fielders and the Riders 15. Ten players saw action for the Trojans and even the subs got into the act. Jerry Pullins, who didn't get into action until midway in the first period, ended the night with 10 points as did Clarence Cantrill. But it was Jim (Dandy) Studer who copped the night's point laurels. He connected for 18 markers. Ron Lake added 14. Pacing the Riders was Jim Bender with 16 points. Dan Kinsey and Bill Phillips added 13 and 10, respectively. In the Reserve game, Port Washington (2-1) ruffed up the Tusky Valley Reserves (1-1) 39-24. In the Junior High game, Tusky Valley edged Port (3-2) 27-25.
