60 - West Lafayette Tops Midvale 57-51 (11-28-59)

WEST LAFAYETTE - Despite a fourth quarter rally, the Midvale Blue Devils (1-2) fell to the West Lafayette Generals (1-0) 57-51 last night on theCoschocton County Court. Trailing 45-32 going into the final period, Midvale came up with 19 points to the hosts 12, but it was too little too late. Ted Shrinplin led the hosts with 18 points, while Sophomore Roger Swinderman and veteran Ron Breniser paced theDevils of Coach Pete Hilliard with 16 points each. The West Lafayette Reserves (1-0) also won by edging the Midvale Reserves (1-2) 41-36.
